Kavco's tubular pipe insulation is a flexible elastomeric material especially compounded to form a close cell product with excellent thermal properties. Kavco's tubular pipe insulation has a smooth durable and attractive black skin finish and is available in only unslit tubular form in nominal wall thicknesses of 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" an 1". ID sizes range from 3/8" through 3" IPS. Kavoc's tubular pipe insulation is superior to other forms of insulation because it dose not absorb moisture over long periods of use, always maintaining its insulation characteristics. The flame spread and smoke density of the insulation has been tested by an independent laboratory in accordance with the ASTM E-84 tunnel test method entitled "Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials". This standard method of test under controlled laboratory conditions is a measurement of material to flame spread and smoke developed when compared to known standard and is not intended to reflect hazards presented by this or any other material under actual actual fire and smoke conditions.

In addition, Kavco's tubular pipe insulations superior qualities include; high resistance to common corrosive chemicals, oils, fungus, weather and ozone.
